Is Red-Pill Misogynistic?

What is Red-Pill? Is it Misogyny?

In the beginning of the article the writer attempts to depict “Red-Pill” as a sense of misogyny and hate against women. Additionally, In the beginning of the article, the author hints at where the “Red-Pill” culture derived from. In 1999, there was an extremely popular movie released called “The Matrix” which is extremely important in defining what “Red-Pill” is, because there is an alternate narrative which is known as “Blue-Pill”.

The author would’ve had a better argument and understanding of what “Red-Pill” actually is if he could’ve analyzed the movement from a non-biased standpoint. This is because “Red Pill” is exactly what was outlined in the article “REALITY”. As a sub note, the “Blue-Pill” is a programmed understanding of the world and just a reality perceived. These other perspectives are not relevant to the movement. Rape, female oppression and opposing the feminist movement isn’t the essence of what “Red Pill” is. Masculinity is the mission here. Helping men find themselves in a world where so many “Beta” influences are projected. Now that this term is thrown out there let's dive deeper into defining it. A “Beta Male” is a downline in social hierarchy to what is known as a “Alpha”. Alpha Males are the prototype of the “Red Pill” movement. The movement is simply aiding in making average men into better men, not making them oppress women. Red Pill is aimed to help men first better understand themselves and then better understand women. When breaking it down like this, how can you see fault in this? Of course, someone who is given access to sensitive information is also given discretion to choose what to do with it.

Acknowledging that women have their ways and men must operate appropriately in order to get desired outcomes is not a problem, it is a solution. Furthermore, if a man is puzzled maybe because a women doesn’t respond via text, cancels on plans, etc… he should be able to attain answers and understanding so he can come to the conclusion that she isn’t interested and so that he can move on (and not respond emotionally with spite). That is a “Red Pill” textbook way to handle that situation, where as a “Beta” response is to maybe “Go-Off” on the woman and maybe on alternate grounds force himself on that woman if she doesn’t willingly give him intimacy. That is the problem. You see a “Alpha” or man practicing “Red Pill” would never even care that much about a woman he is attempting to court because there are entirely too many options for a man that is doing all he can as a man to be a man that he aspires to become.

A man that is focused on his purpose does not waste his time chasing women, he chases his purpose and women will come. Just like the saying goes “A man who chases women loses money, but a man will never lose a woman chasing money.” The reality of the situation is that there a woman who will be attracted you and others that are not, your job is to become the best man you can be to give yourself the best possible chance to land the woman of your dreams if that’s what you desire.

The author has showed lack of understanding of the concept, “Red Pill” is not focused on oppressing women. It is a push for the understanding of “Reality” thus the matrix reference. Opposing views may feel that the movement can be oppressive but selecting a few bad apples who aren’t necessarily practicing “Red Pill” is an extremely poor correlation. I will say that the best possible outcome for society would be to gather more understanding of the movement before speaking on it because a man who reads books, studies philosophy, works out and tries to get a better understanding on women isnt one is aimed to oppress women, he is the best possible partner to most women.

It's super unfortunate seeing how people have let the red-pill movement become a hyper-politicized idea. It's important for people to face reality instead of shying away from it, and I think most people agree with that in theory. Some misapplications of it could come off as misogynist at points, but that shouldn't detract from the idea itself. Really enjoyable read!

Interesting post! I have definitely heard of the "Red Pill" in a very polarized and politicized way, so it's nice to see it being represented primarily as a way for men to have agency in a society that is difficult to navigate. I wonder if you would support having less strict definitions of gender roles and that might make the situation easier to navigate. Like if we didn't have such strict rules that men and women had to follow. My boyfriend and I have gotten to where we are pretty fluid about those kinds of things (who pays at dinner, who cleans, etc.) and it's been very freeing, like we don't have to perform for each other but can just…
