This article consists of many satirical illustrations of the “Pill Conversation” yet again referencing the 1999 movie, “The Matrix” where in the movie (Morpheous) Laurence Fishburne asks (Neo) Keanu Reeves whether he’d like to take either the “Red Pill” symbolizing reality or the “Blue Pill” symbolizing “The dream world” most of us live in today.
It has become extremely popular in today’s age the reference of the two mainly because we as people are growing our sense of consciousness outside of our governments. Different outlets have enabled us to better understand the world and begin to ask questions that were never asked before.
The article references several other pill phenomena to hint at the various perspectives being thrown at us nowadays to perhaps distract us from focusing on the “red pill” maybe because if there are more alternatives there is a greater possibility we will focus on another pill besides the red one. Oddly enough, the more one knows the more questions they may ask if led down the right rabbit hole maybe to understand the greater meaning of what is truly going on in the world we live in. The satirical resemblance between all of the other pill options is to maybe reference the greater implementation of “smoke and mirrors” being thrown at us as a whole.
With figures such as Elon Musk hinting at the “Red Pill” on twitter to his 30 million plus followers it is no surprise that the public begins to focus more on this sense of “True Reality” and not just “The Dream World” we assume is reality. It also doesn’t help that the Trump family is endorsing the movement either.
